It has been said that Camus '...was frequented with the idea that our reality is a universe which has a bad situation for us, wherein our life has neither rhyme nor reason... The Stranger mirrors this way of thinking in a heap of ways. Mr. Meursalt is the fundamental character. He appears to live in his own reality, associating with others, yet not thinking too profoundly about what occurs in his life. For instance, when his mom passed on, his considerations were, Mother kicked the bucket today. Or then again, perhaps yesterday; I can't be certain (Pp. 1) He didn't have any outrageous emotions about her demise; he simply acknowledged it and concluded that is was what should occur. He kept himself occupied with entertaining himself with familiar luxuries like smoking, drinking, and sex. His better half, Marie, needed him to wed her, and his answer was that on the off chance that she needed to get hitched they would. His appearance about it were, Marie came that night and inquired as to whether I'd wed her. I said I wouldn't fret; on the off chance that she was excited about it, we'd get hitched. (Pp. 52) He didn't appear to mind one way or the other. His life was brimming with existentialism, for he accepted that life simply occurred, nothing you could do would change the future, and that everything occurred which is as it should be. At a few sections in the book, Meursalt watches his neighbor strolling his canine. Salamano would beat his canine, it would run ahead, and the man would beat and swear at it once more. Ordinary it was something very similar. At some point, Meursalt went over Salamano in the corridor. Salamano was all distressed on the grounds that his pooch fled. Meursalt couldn't comprehend this way of thinking since he thought the man abhorred his canine. For what reason would he be stressed over it? Toward the finish of the story when Meursalt would have been executed, he considered his destiny. He appeared to remove joy from the idea of everybody yelling at him with all the harshness and loathe that had developed within them. Simultaneously, he didn't appear to stress an excess of that he was going to. He wouldn't see the minister before his execution since he felt that he had done nothing incorrectly when he shot a blameless man in the road. List of sources The Stranger
